Austral Monsoon has recently worked with Co-Wyn Builders on the supply and installation of ten glazed AT100 counterweight Bifold Doors.

The installation took place at the Holy Cross College School Ryde in Sydney’s northwest.

Austral Monsoon has recently completed the supply and installation of a number of doors for the new Sydney Business Park, located in the western Sydney suburb of Marsden Park.

Thus far, Austral Monsoon have supplied:

• Thirteen steel and aluminium roller shutters for Ikea, working with FDC Construction & Fitout;
• Four steel roller shutters for Bunnings Warehouse working with Drayton Constructions; and
• Five steel roller shutters for Masters working with Quasar Constructions.

We have still to supply a number of Shutters for Lindt, working with Qanstruct.

Austral Monsoon has recently manufactured and installed a number of shutters for Lend Lease at the Barangaroo redevelopment on Sydney Harbour.

A total of six 100mm steel shutters were installed, featuring powder coated and fully perforated curtains.

On Monday 27th of July a fire broke out in the John Cootes warehouse adjacent to our Yennora manufacturing plant.

Emergency services were on the scene promptly and fought for hours to control the fire. Once under control, fire crews continued to work through the night to ensure that there were no new flareups that could threaten the surrounding buildings.

Austral Monsoon would like to thank NSW Fire and Rescue for their efforts in responding to this emergency, which resulted in the fire being largely contained.

The emergency service vehicles attending to the scene were fitted exclusively with Monsoon N35 and 2EB roller shutters.

The AM Group is the largest manufacturer of shutters for fire and emergency services vehicles worldwide.

Austral Monsoon is currently involved in the roll out of the new electronic Opal Card system on the Sydney Trains network.

Working with engineering company OX Engineering, Austral Monsoon is supplying 70 Austral Monsoon N35 Aluminium Roller Shutters which are being customised to suit to the gate control consoles and the railway control pods.

Austral Monsoon has recently replaced two 9m wide x 12m high roller shutter curtains for Coal & Allied (Rio Tinto) at their Mount Thorley Warkworth coal mine in the Hunter Valley.

Following the success of the installation, Rio Tinto have appointed Austral Monsoon as sole contractor to provide installation, service and repairs at the Mount Thorley Site, as well as their Bengalla and Hunter Valley Operations mining facilities.
